Due to Dr. Allred's influence within the Seventh-day Adventist church and institutions this article will serve as a collection of newspaper articles, quotes and information related to Dr. Edward C. Allred. If you have any information to add please use the contact form. "...The abortion clinics, including one in San Diego, are owned by multimillionaire abortionist Dr. Edward Campbell Allred, who says he has personally performed at least 250,000 abortions since 1968." source: San Diego Union, October 12, 1980 front page Dr. Allred boasted he has performed more abortions than anyone else. "I don't mean to toot my own horn, but it's safe to say that I have far more experience than anyone else in the United States in doing this particular thing." source: The Fresno Bee, Sunday, March 18, 1979, A14 Allred performed 250,000 abortions between 1968-1980 but in 1992 Allred claimed that he stopped performing abortions full time around 1987. If he continued at the same pace he would have performed 365,000-395,000 abortions by 1987 (not including abortions after 1987). Allred claimed that he didn't give updated numbers because "Why give them [prolifers] more ammunition?" source: The Press-Enterprise, November 8, 1992, A01, Steve Pokin “Population control is too important to be stopped by some right-wing pro-life types. Take the new influx of Hispanic immigrants. Their lack of respect for democracy and social order is frightening. I hope I can do something to stem that tide. I’d set up a clinic in Mexico for free if I could. Maybe one in Calexico would help. The survival of our society could be at stake.” "When a sullen black woman of 17 or 18 can decide to have a baby and get welfare and food stamps and become a burden to all of us, it's time to stop. In parts of South Los Angeles having babies for welfare is the only industry the people have." "...Allred said his clinics might continue giving free abortions to poor women 'for the social good.'" source: San Diego Union, October 12, 1980 page 14 Allred is honored as a distinguished ambassador of Loma Linda University whose mission is to "continue the healing ministry of Jesus Christ, 'to make man whole' ” "Allred estimates his clinics perform upwards of 60,000 abortions this year - up from 40,000 just two years ago" "A new clinic will open in Long Beach this January, and Allred talks of opening one in Calexico to "help stem the Hispanic tide" into the United States" "I love to work very hard" said Allred, who performs 1,800 abortions each month. I almost feel guilty when I'm not working." (FYI: 250,000 abortions / 1,800 monthly = 139 months = 11.6 years) "Allred is a 1964 graduate of Loma Linda University Medical School run by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He said he would have preferred to be a lawyer or politician but 'every good Seventh-day Adventist boy is supposed to become a doctor.'" "I'd work from 6 in the morning until midnight performing abortions" source: San Diego Union, October 12, 1980 In 1990 Allred was honored in a report to the Seventh-day Adventist General Conference Session in Indianapolis for his monetary gifts. See Adventist Review July 17, 1990 here The 7th day Sabbath "is the most popular day for women to get abortions. At Avalon more than a hundred are often done from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m." source: Santa Cruz Sentinel, June 14, 1973 page 10 Seventh-day Adventist University La Sierra named their business center after Allred. See articles in ChristianityToday, ChristianPost, LifeSiteNews, and Advindicate La Sierra University's Allred Center for Financial Literacy. "Dr. Allred, an alumnus of La Sierra University, is both the principal sponsor of the center and the inspiration behind its economic philosophy." Let that sink in. "Very commonly we hear patients say they feel like they're on an assembly line," Allred said recently at his Newport clinic after finishing 41 abortions in four hours. "We tell them they're right. it is an assembly line, but that isn't necessarily bad. We're trying to be as cost effective as possible and speed is important." Following tweets featuring Allred: La Sierra University put a plaque on the wall honoring Allred who will "forever be the example" to Christian students. Allred was interviewed for a documentary in 1983. The documentary also features footage of Allred performing an actual abortion. This same footage was used in the movie Silent Scream with Dr. Bernard Nathanson. You can see Allred's name in the credits although it's misspelled. The documentary is ASSIGNMENT LIFE: A REPORT ON ABORTION IN AMERICA and can be found for sale here. A clip of the documentary is online here: "Too Many Brown People? California Abortionists Target Latinos." Article features Allred for advertising discounts on abortion to Hispanics but not in English speaking media. https://www.pop.org/too-many-brown-people-california-abortionists-target-latinos-2/ The Southeast California Conference and Pacific Union of Seventh-day Adventists built a church at Allred's Los Alamitos horse racing track. Allred is listed right now on the website as one of the founding members of the church. Not a joke, see for yourself: https://www.losalamitossda.org/history.html The official position of the Seventh-day Adventist Church on gambling states: The Seventh-day Adventist Church calls on all authorities to prevent the ever-increasing availability of gambling with its damaging effects on individuals and society. The Seventh-day Adventist Church rejects gambling as defined above and will not solicit nor accept funding that is clearly derived from gambling. but apparently they made an exception for Allred since he's one of the most famous horse gamblers that has been featured in major gambling media and Forbes magazine. The church website originally said that Allred provided the funding for the church (in violation of church policy) but after I called and spoke to the church manager he attempted to deny this. When I pointed out it was posted on the website he mumbled nonsense and tried to evade the question. When talking to Adventists about abortion it's important to save everything because they love to delete anything incriminating. Unfortunately for them I anticipated this might happen so I took a screenshot before the phone call because shortly after the phone call this info was scrubbed. Here's the before pic: I was told by an official at the Los Alamitos SDA church that they are waiting for Allred to die so that they can get his money. This was reported in my video in August 2017. Four months later the Orange County Register newspaper verified this claim in the following article here: I personally visited the Los Alamitos SDA church and made a video with my findings: Allred is the abortionist who tried to kill Gianna Jessen. Here is her testimony: There are plenty of articles about Allred funding Glendale academy and Monterrey Bay Academy. Edward Allred is an honored member of Spectrum Magazine advisory board and Atoday. Adventist Today atoday.org likes to denounce Edward Allred's views but will delete any comments by anyone pointing out that Atoday's sponsor/supporter was Allred as late as a few years ago. Not a joke, see this post: And just recently in Spring 2019 Loma Linda University announced they are now offering a scholarship in Allred's name. See page 40 of the official Scope magazine here.
